Emergency Food Distribution Boxes
Acclaim Community Outreach has been a steadfast partner of Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan for an extended period. Our collaboration involves ordering food items from Gleaners and assembling food boxes for distribution to those facing need. During the pick-up process, we kindly request proper identification.
Recognizing diverse needs, particularly for individuals with special requirements or elderly residents, Acclaim Community Outreach extends its services by providing home delivery of food boxes.
In addition, our organization actively participated in the EFS program with United Way, securing small mini-grants to augment the purchase of additional food items. While these grants were consistently received for several years, recent budget cuts under the current federal government administration have curtailed much of the funding.
Despite these challenges, Acclaim Community Outreach perseveres with the support of local organizations and grocery stores, allowing us to sustain our vital work in the community, ensuring that those in need receive nourishment.
